What time of day will my dog be walked?
During our consultation, Pet Trek will schedule a general time range to visit based upon the hours
that the owner(s) are away from home.  For example, if you are at work from 7am- 4pm, Pet Trek
will likely come to walk your dog in the late morning, somewhere between 10am- 12pm.

What if it is raining or snowing?
During mild weather conditions, Pet Trek will still take dogs outside for their regular walks.  During
heavy rain or snow, Pet Trek will take dogs out for a potty break, then hold an indoor play session if
desired by the owner.  In extreme weather conditions, such as heavy snow, walks may be cancelled
if it is unsafe for Pet Trek to travel.  Owners will receive a credit for a make-up walk in these
circumstances.

How do I pay for services from Pet Trek?
During the consultation, a service contract will be signed by both Pet Trek and owner stating when
and how many walks you will be paying for.  Payment is due in full at the consultation by either
cash or check.  If you sign a contract for more than one month of services, you may pay in full or one
month at a time.

What if I needed to work late or had an emergency?
For those clients who already have a service contract and Pet Trek has a means of getting into their
home, we offer the
Pet Trek to the Rescue visit.  You may call us with less than 24 hours notice and
see if our schedule will allow us to make a short stop to take your dog out.  Emergency visits may
range from 15-30 minutes depending on our regularly scheduled walks for the day.  Payment for this
service is expected within 7 days of the visit.

I have multiple dogs.  Can Pet Trek walk them all at one time?
During our consultation, Pet Trek will be able to determine if multiple pets can be walked safely
together.  Factors include the size of the dogs and how well they walk on their leash.  In most
instances Pet Trek can handle two dogs on one walk.  Small dogs may be walked in threes.  A fee
applies per extra dog.  If we feel we cannot safely walk all of your dogs at one time, Pet Trek will do
its best to accommodate your needs in an affordable manner.
NOTE:  Pet Trek does
not do pack walks, meaning we do not pick up dogs from different owners
and walk them
all together.  

Do you have regular business hours?
Our regular business hours are 9am - 6pm Monday through Friday.  We often schedule a
consultation in the evening or on
weekends depending on the client's availability.  Pet Trek
regularly checks voicemail and email and will return messages within 48 hours.

Do you have insurance or bonding?
Pet Trek carries insurance through Pet Sitters Associates, LLC.  Our policy covers incidents such as
bodily injury, accidental loss or injury to pets, lost house keys, and property damage.  We carry an
extra insurance policy to cover personal property damage or loss, and it is a broader coverage than a
bond.

What if I need to cancel my services before the contract is up?
Any cancellations made 5 days prior to the scheduled service will receive a full refund or credit.  Any
cancellations less than 5 days notice will receive a credit only for future services.  In most
circumstances, if you cancel less than 24 hours in advance no refund or credit is given.  We have a
limited schedule, so cancelling your services without enough notice means turning away other
clients and their dogs.  Therefore, it is for everyone's benefit to let Pet Trek know as soon as possible
if you need to cancel or reschedule a visit.  

If I am going on vacation, can Pet Trek sit for us?  What if we have multiple kinds of pets?
Yes!  We can sit for any pets that you might have, not just dogs.  It is nice to pet sit for established
dog walking clients,
as it helps ensure that your pets are comfortable with Pet Trek and that Pet
Trek is comfortable with your pets and your home
, but it is not necessary.  Rates correspond to how
many visits per day your pets need
and your location.  Visits may range from one to four visits per
day, with three being most common for clients with dogs to care for.  Overnight stays
in your home
with your pets are possible upon request and will vary in cost depending on circumstances.  Please
