At Pet Trek we are in the business of helping you meet your pet's needs.  Getting
your dog out on an extra walk during the day can have many benefits for his
physical and mental health.

Exercise
Most dogs require more exercise than owners are able to provide in a typical day.  We
understand that some people work long hours and schedules get busy very quickly.  That
doesn't mean you should not be able to enjoy the companionship of a canine friend.
Depending on your dog's activity level, he can get an extra
25-60 minutes of physical activity
per day with a walk from Pet Trek.  Has Fido been getting a few too many chewy treats
lately?  We can tailor our walk around your dogs' needs, including helping him lose a few
pounds.

Housebreaking
Puppies and dogs that are being housebroken learn best when they can be kept on a more
regular schedule.  If you are crate training your dog, it is best that they are let out at least once
during the day while you are gone to work.  Why worry about rushing home at lunch to let
the dog out
.  At Pet Trek, we can help keep your puppy on track with a Pet Trek Potty Stop,
or one of our longer walks if you so choose.  You also get the benefit of having your puppy
socialize with a new person.  The potty break can also be helpful for elderly dogs who may
have trouble holding it all day long.

Mental Stimulation
Getting out on the town is not only good for your pup's waistline, it engages all of his senses.
Your dog can fill up his daily quota of sights, smells, and sounds from around the
neighborhood or nearby park.  By giving him more mental stimulation in his day, your dog is
less likely to engage in destructive behaviors at home.  We also employ positive training
methods while out on our walk to keep your dog focused and well behaved.  Does your dog
need some remedial training on his doggie manners?  Ask how Pet Trek can work on some
basic behaviors during our walk.

Stress Reduction
This goes for both owner and dog.  Dogs are social creatures and can get lonely during the
long day all by themselves.  This can lead to behavioral issues like separation anxiety,
self-mutilation, and destructive behaviors like chewing up the couch cushions.  It also leaves
owners feeling guilty about leaving the dog home alone all day, or simply worried about what
they will find the dog has done when they get home from work.  With a daily visit from Pet
Trek, you can stay focused at work knowing your dog is getting the attention and care he
needs.

A dog-gone good time
Along with all the other benefits, having a visit from Pet Trek will be fun for your dog.  We
can bring along your pups favorite toys and even visit a nearby park.  At Pet Trek, it is our
goal to make sure your dog is having a good time!
